Clearing Out the 'Duds' | Foundations & Concealers

Every once in a while (more often than I'd really like to admit to myself) I take a look at my 'everyday makeup' (everything but my professional kit) and think things have got out of hand!
Even I think this is way too excessive for one person, who needs to have eight foundations on the go, along with five concealers. Which leads me on to clearing out the 'duds' that don't work for me or that something else is just plainly a lot better and it doesn't excite me. I don't obviously throw them out, I usually pass them off to family members.

I am going to rate all these products by preference, remember this is always personal!

My Favourite Foundations:

1.Mac Prolongwear, Mac Studio Studio fix & Mac Studio Sculpt ( I have them all different shades, for whatever colour I am, very tanned, tanned, uber pale.. girl problems, but I'm big into mixing them and foundations in general, very rarely is a shade correct!)

2.Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions, good coverage and great for oily skin.

My 'I probably won't buy these again but I still recommend them' Foundations:

1.Boujois Healthy Mix, glowy and nice coverage, absolutely no faults, have nearly finished this.

2. Illamasqua Rich Liquid, amazing coverage but I only use then when I'm partying so for the amount I'm able to use it, it's not worth the money, but there is literally no other foundation like it, if you want FLAWLESS skin.

3. Rimmel Wake me up, I think Rimmel has one of the best selection of 'drugstore' foundations, great coverage and a nice dewy formula!

4.Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Compact, a nice product, not an astounding one! Does what it's meant too and that's about all I can say.

The 'Duds'

1. The Maybelline fit me foundation is one of the worst formula's I've tried in a while, I honestly think it's more water then anything, no coverage, do not buy!

2. Nivea BB cream, something about the formula applies quite blotchy/hard to work with and as for the shade light, I would definitely call it medium plus.

My Favourite Concealers:

1.Collection 2000 lasting perfection, nothing will beat this and it seems everybody else agrees because shade 2 is always sold out.. annoying!

2.Collection 2000 Illuminating touch concealer, great coverage and it does exactly what it says for under the eyes, very brightening.

3.Mac Studio finish concealer, amazing for spots and blemishes!

The 'Dud'

1.Rimmel wake me up concealer, not great coverage and far to thin for a concealer, a small dot blends half way cross your face to almost nothing! Not worth the money.

Halloween Makeup | Smokey Eyes and Red Lips!

I absolutely love Halloween, because quite frankly I can go all out and wear as much makeup as I want. Normally I stick to the rule of either a bold eye or lip but not together. We also didn't go for scary or particularly Halloween-y but sure!

I did both our makeups and used basically the same products.

Face:
Illamasqua Rich liquid foundation (best foundation for a night out doesn't budge and has amazing coverage, but wouldn't use it everyday)
Mac Cream bronzer (from previous post)
Mac mineralize skinfinish natural (light-med)

Eyes:
Mac barestudy paintpot
Mac shadows from previous post (mostly black obviously)
Collection 2000 gel liner all over lid as base!
False lashes (no name brand sorry, just cheap ones) My friends where from eyelure!

Brows:
Elf brow kit in ash blonde

Lips:
Collection 2000 lip stain (like a felt tip applicator) in red!

Dolly Mixture Haul | Beauty, Nails & Fashion

Today was my day off from the salon, so I decided to pop to the shops with my mother dearest. I didn't go for anything in particular but here's what I got, mostly beauty products..

I'm obsessed with the colour orange at the moment, I didn't want to commit to a bright orange lipstick yet (was thinking morange from mac but it may just be a phase and I might hate it) so I bought this bright orange mua pencil which apparently is an eyeliner, what?! But I'm just going to use it on my lips, I'm sure it will be fine. I'm probably the last person to pick up a sleek pout paint but I finally did after looking at them on many occasions. I picked up 156 peachy keen, which hopefully will look lovely blended over the pencil for a more toned down look.

This must be a new product from Collection 2000, £4.99 for a gel liner so I decided to pick it up, hopefully it's good.

After all the hype I decided to pick up the impress nails (they where only £5 something from savers, boots etc are £9ish) and also they nail art sticker type things, my friend nail glued hers on and they lasted amazingly so I'm going to do that too!

There doing the £5 pound vouchers for No7 so I picked up this cleansing water for normal/oily skin, 1st time using a cleansing water. Excited to try it tonight! (I paid £4 with the voucher!)

Been meaning to try out a Violet shampoo for ages to take out the brassy tones of my hair and found this one for only £1.99 in savers!

Assessorize has a have price sale on and I got this cute hamsa hand necklace for only £2, it's so dainty!

My camera has really diluted the colour it's much more mint in real life! Picked up this top from the river island sale for only £7 :)

Thanks for reading guys, please feel free to comment and follow xoxo

Make blue/green eyes pop!

All the eyeshadows are from the blush palette see below! and the glitter is mac reflects bronze!
The colours are quite daring and bold so if you feel you need to you could tone it down with more warm tone browns subsituting brighter oranges and reds.
