The Creative bugs that comes with new makeup

Hey everyone! Thanks for stopping by :)
I did a little makeup shopping as always and there is just something refreshingly creative about getting new products especially from the brand Illamasqua. Sometimes before bed, before I take my makeup off I will have the urge to put some more on, often in more of a relaxed, no thoughts - just let's see where this goes way.

And this is the final product, a main feature of this was testing out the Illamasqua liquid metal palette - which I find amazing. (It has alot of negative reviews of the website which is plain silly!) It picks up fabulously in the light even from iphone quality pictures.

I most definitely urge this type of creative outlook of makeup, this is my kind of idea of how I can express. As they say makeup is art. If you get stuck in a makeup rut, maybe see if you can find new ways to use the products you have.

I filmed the haul of these products, if you are curious as to what else I bought - check out my youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRGHIL85KFY

As always you guys are amazing. Stay true xxxx

Classic Cut Crease | Favourite Makeup Looks

Not going to lie and say the technique of a 'cut crease' is the most simple makeup look. It's more one of those if you have a good bit of time to play with your makeup and you want something that will draw attention - most people will see the effort you have put in.

Where as it is a bit more technically challenging, the amount of products you require are quite minimal.

Basically you carve out your crease line with the liner (the hardest part is getting both eyes equal, takes alot of opening and closing/looking straight into a mirror) and then blending above with black eyeshadow. Be careful not to blend everywhere as you want the lid to be clean. If anyone would like a youtube tutorial on this please don't be afraid to request - same goes for anything!

What products I have on/used for this:

Face: Smashbox photofinish primer, Chanel perfection lumiere velvet (New favourite!) 20 beige, elf blush bronzer duo turks and caicos

Lips:
Mac Myth

Brows:
MUA Brow definer Fair (The black double sided one with a cream eyeshadow on the other side - New favourite!)
MUA brow mascara Fair
I have truly scrapped Mac brow products now that I have these cheap alternatives in my life, that are a fraction of the price, last longer and are just as good!

Eyes:
Mac Soft ochre paint pot (swap for whatever primer you have)
Mac Smolder Eyeliner (swap for any black eyeliner)
Mac Carbon Eyeshadow (swap for any black eyeshadow you have)
Mascara Lancome Hynose Doll eyes

I really hope this inspired you if anything, Thank you! xxx

Feeling Arty | Creative Makeup Look

Hi Everyone!
Some days I just sit down, not a clue and this happens. I am pretty happy with the final outcome, this can tend to go off in a weird way, a lot of the time a bit too directionless. But I am really enjoying playing with my airbrush machine.

This is something similar to mine if you are wondering what airbrush is?
http://www.skinbysterex.com/equipment-accessories-c1/mistair-starter-kits-c39/mistair-airbrush-make-up-starter-kit-p160

I created my own stencil and airbrushed on all the colours as a base. The black is grease paint, blended with shadow as is the pattern above the eye. The other eye is some glitter and gem stickers I picked up in one of those cheapy, bargain shops. Huge tip, I always pick up random stuff like this (Hoarder), with nothing in mind other than I will probably use it for something.. and wayhey!

Simple enough product list, airbrush, grease paints and applique.

I am very much always inspired by art. Always trying to create something, do what makes you happy.

Have a nice day/night xox

Sleek Acid Palette | Full Face

Above -No Filter
Below- Edited with Filters

When I get a new product, this is what tends to happen. Brows, Eyes, Blush and Lips are all Sleeks Acid Palette. A great way to see how you can test products in so many different ways.

Obviously this is more of a creative look, not too wearable for many but I when I'm playing around I normally don't have a look in mind I just see where things go.

Brows- Pink, Purple, Cranberry Colours in an ombre style, with a line of Elf Gel liner under, set with the black.

Eyes- all the rest of the colours.

Cheeks- orange and bright pink mixed.

Lips- orange and yellow with a clear gloss over the top.

My favourite colours from this palette are the white, orange and cranberry. I used the white all over the lid up to the brow and it created an awesome base to start.

Hope this inspires some of you, have a good day! xoxo

Pop Art | 15 Minute Fancy Dress/Halloween Makeup

I'll be the first to admit this isn't my best work, but I had a spare 15 or so minutes of boredom and this is the quick look I came up with! This is a great makeup to do if you have a last minute fancy dress party or if you are looking for low maintenance Halloween ideas (very early! lol) It's pop art inspired so basically you're outfit can be anything you want, I would definitely go with bright colours and maybe colour blocking!

Thanks for reading! xox

Make blue/green eyes pop!

All the eyeshadows are from the blush palette see below! and the glitter is mac reflects bronze!
The colours are quite daring and bold so if you feel you need to you could tone it down with more warm tone browns subsituting brighter oranges and reds.
