Grungy St Patrick's Day 2015 | Manson & Pat Always.

As always my random before bed creations normally end up on my blog. This one I feel reflects a lot of the main artist's who really do inspire me whatever medium they choose or how they portray their work.

Could you guess a bit of Marilyn Manson and Pat McGrath?

Definitely a signature manson lip, black and deep red, overlined with a slightly smudgy glossy feel.

And the eyes just went wherever they went, messy with quite a graphic liner. Nothing copied from Pat's work (she is in my opinion one of the world's best makeup artist's - google her to be amazed) but still a look that you would maybe see in her designs.

I also added a bit of green and edited some green vibes and suddenly I was like this could be 2015's most modern/abstract St.Paddy's day makeup look! Ha I don't know how wearable it is for many of you guys, but hey smudge a bit of green glittery eyeshadow with a smokey eye if you want to stay away from face paint - will look extra cool!

Hope this inspires.

Thanks for reading.

Pinterest | The place that adds a little or a lot of Inspiration

Pinterest - another little place on the internet that I visit everyday, a spare minute here and there but really most of the time much more. This website is fabulous, not just for beauty or fashion but for everything. It has really inspired my love of illustration and art which I found over the last years maybe got put a bit more on the back burner from beauty. But really there is everything on there, home decor, animals, cars, space, nature, tattoos, books, - anything you want to search!

If at times you can really feel uninspired, what do I wear? What way do I want this to look? Or I need a new...blank? Amazing. Especially if you are very visually motivated like me. I'm also not just saying check out mine obviously- get the app!

Here's a few images that have inspired me in my life at the moment, or that I just love!

The Creative bugs that comes with new makeup

Hey everyone! Thanks for stopping by :)
I did a little makeup shopping as always and there is just something refreshingly creative about getting new products especially from the brand Illamasqua. Sometimes before bed, before I take my makeup off I will have the urge to put some more on, often in more of a relaxed, no thoughts - just let's see where this goes way.

And this is the final product, a main feature of this was testing out the Illamasqua liquid metal palette - which I find amazing. (It has alot of negative reviews of the website which is plain silly!) It picks up fabulously in the light even from iphone quality pictures.

I most definitely urge this type of creative outlook of makeup, this is my kind of idea of how I can express. As they say makeup is art. If you get stuck in a makeup rut, maybe see if you can find new ways to use the products you have.

I filmed the haul of these products, if you are curious as to what else I bought - check out my youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRGHIL85KFY

As always you guys are amazing. Stay true xxxx

Peachy Pinks | Makeup of the Day

Hey everyone! Hope you are doing well! So today I am not going to lie, I felt like writing a post but not actually doing the work that goes into one. So off I took to my photos library for some inspiration and I found this picture of a look way back in the summer that I hadn't shared with my blog. I love the colours and the subtle style of the makeup.

My favourite part of this look is the simplicity of the eye makeup - one peach colour blended all over the eye. (This is from a sleek palette)

I guess today I am missing the spring/summer... days when my skin had some colour! I bet I am not the only one? But this had me thinking, sometimes less is more and I am finding myself reaching for just one eyeshadow to pop all over the lid for an easy go to day look. Obviously a big plus as it's a time saver. If you are a girl of multiple eyeshadows- give this a go, it's refreshing!

Always just trying to show something different from time to time, change is good!

A New Skin Discovery & Saver - that won't break the bank!

(Picture is not my own)

Ok the wonderful beauty of Tea Tree Oil. I have always been a skeptic, bought products infused with the oil in the past blah blah nothing spectacular. But then I had mega breakouts and a huge skin reaction to the point where I literally had a full face of acne (Or what it felt like to me anyways).

If you have a favourite youtuber do you tend to go back and rewatch some of their old videos? Well I do, and this is where I rediscovered Jess from Sunbeamsjess's skincare routine. She has always been huge on tea tree oil and using it with other natural/non comedogenic products to help prevent and treat her skin. So when I was in B&M (large store with various cheap products from food to home) I picked up a bottle of pure tea tree oil for around £2 and I haven't looked back. That's also a great point you kind find it out there very cheap- maybe even in the pound shops!

I have realized that with my skin, less is much more. I can't use lots of fancy products and now if anything I have the fear of trying new things.

How I use tree tree oil:
Cleanse twice with Garnier Micellar water
Remove eyemakeup with Garnier Skin Fresh eyemakeup remover
I will then do another cotton pad of Micellar water if I feel I need it (heavy makeup day)
Then I was take a liberal amount of Tea tree oil (I know a lot of people online say use 1-2 drops and pin point it, yes if you have really dry skin) I shake the bottle until I get around 7-10 drops on a large cotton pad and I sweep it all over my face and chest. Not close to my eyes as it will STING.

I don't apply any moisturizer or any products after and go to sleep. In the morning I will apply the Sanctuary Spa Deep cleansing matte hydra lotion before my makeup. Obviously this is a routine for my skin and mine is quite oily these days so add in more products to tailor your own needs!

I have been doing this routine every night for around 2 weeks and the difference in my skin is beyond positive. All spots are now gone - just some marks and scarring left which is annoying but no bumps! If I do get a fresh spot it seems to dry up hugely after one night. The texture of my skin is much smoother and I feel much more confident.

By the way, if you get tea tree oil be prepared for people asking what's that smell?? It happens alot! But I personally am a fan, I just think it is very strong.

I hope this will help anyone in my position, thanks for reading! xxx
