Dramatic Lip Options | Cut Crease Eyemakeup

I am a big fan of a strong brow and a strong lip. I also love the cut crease technique, so here's a mix match of them all together. Not everyone's cup of tea, as it is a bold look, but as always take what you want from the look.

Face Products:
Smashbox Original Primer
Bare Minerals Ready Foundation
Dior Honey Bronze
Elf Contour kit

Brows:
MUA undressed eyeshadow palette (Two matte brown colours, this is an amazing palette, super cheap and perfect for everyday eyeshadow looks too.)

Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Sleek Delmar Palette
Benefit They're real liner (I got a sample of this, nothing special, I would give it a miss personally because I find the applicator unnecessarily annoying.)
Bare Minerals Lash Domination Mascara (AMAZING product!)

Lips:
Ombre Version
Mac Smolder eyeliner and Topshop Lip Varnish Field Day

Black
Topshop Velvet Lip Raven

Also on another note, if anyone is wondering how I styled my hair in these pictures. I set it in small rollers from wet, gives a Marilyn Monroe style which I love.

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed the style! xoxo

Purple Eyes Pink Lips | Girly Makeup

Another one using a sleek palette.

After many crazy makeup looks, this day I felt the need to do something more wearable and girly.
Super simple pastel purples eye with winged liner, can be done with whatever eyeshadows you have.

On my lips is my very first Mac Lipstick that I bought, Pink Noveau. I love it, it's a satin finish but is super comfortable on the lips! 100% recommend this, must have!

Sleek Acid Palette | Full Face

Above -No Filter
Below- Edited with Filters

When I get a new product, this is what tends to happen. Brows, Eyes, Blush and Lips are all Sleeks Acid Palette. A great way to see how you can test products in so many different ways.

Obviously this is more of a creative look, not too wearable for many but I when I'm playing around I normally don't have a look in mind I just see where things go.

Brows- Pink, Purple, Cranberry Colours in an ombre style, with a line of Elf Gel liner under, set with the black.

Eyes- all the rest of the colours.

Cheeks- orange and bright pink mixed.

Lips- orange and yellow with a clear gloss over the top.

My favourite colours from this palette are the white, orange and cranberry. I used the white all over the lid up to the brow and it created an awesome base to start.

Hope this inspires some of you, have a good day! xoxo

Everyday Contouring | NOT the Kim Kardashian technique

Working in the makeup industry, from beauty to retail, probably the biggest fad is the 'Kim Kardashian' contouring technique. Previously this has been around for years but pictures like these of Kim have thrown it into the public eye. I have many girls ask me will you do this on me? Can I do this for everyday? Yes of course you can, with many products, light and dark concealers, illuminating and contouring products and probably the different colour setting powders to match. But why would you want to do this everyday, the point I want to get across is that this is not an everyday technique (for most people) and it can be very unforgiving if its not blended properly.

Lancome Blush subtil Palette 02 Nectar Lace
Elf Contouring Blush and Bronzer

Here's my alternative, for an everyday sculpted look. The matte bronzer does a great job, the Lancome one which in particular is a grey undertone is perfect (much harder colour to find day to day) but the Elf one still does a great job and stands the test of time. I have had the Elf one about 4x as longer and still have more product left. You will give yourself shape as long as it isn't shimmery (shimmer draws out features and does the opposite to what contouring is) but it will look more natural, takes a fraction of the time and money.

Festival Face | Parklife

As you may be able to tell this one of my favourite styles of makeup to do, I love anything a bit different and with bright colours!

The above three pictures are in all in natural light with no filter.

First of all the bindi and gems are from Topshop, but you can get them much cheaper and in bulk from places like ebay.

For my eyes I used genuine orange from Mac Pro which adds a really strong base and then I went mad with my 100ish eyeshadow palette, this is a life saver for having all colours. If you are in the market for one of these, again search ebay or amazon, be warned pigmentation can be hit or miss. Luckily I bought mine a couple of years ago when they were really unheard of. I also patted some glitter over the top, this was a white one from NYX, any brand does the same job for the effect.

Lashes are ardel, probably my favourite brand. Brows are Mac Lingering and Lips are the Topshop liquid lipsticks I haven't stopped talking about recently! I wanted something that was going to last hours and these definitely stand the test of time, even through drinking and rain haha! I find the most long last foundation I have is Mac Studio Sculpt, it's flawless and feels quite heavy, which is why I hardly ever use it. But if you like this type, this is perfect. I much prefer Bare Minerals for day to day because I can't hack knowing I will probably break out in spots and I like my skin to be visible through and show freckles but for special occasions like this where I need it to be heavy, it is a good option.

Thanks for reading, enjoy all the summer festivals! xoxo
